Information
Local and regional governments have been hit hard by the pandemic. But a green recovery offers multiple co-benefits to communities, companies, and for climate action. The Ten Point Plan ‘will turn the UK into the world’s number one centre for green technology and finance’, level up the UK through the a ‘green industrial revolution’, and invest in nature and biodiversity, creating the foundations for decades of economic growth.
From industrial transition to rewilding, climate tech to green finance, how can public-private partnerships and increased investment backed by the government drive the green recovery, unlock green jobs, and lay the foundations to support transition to net-zero over the next decade?
Day Three’s Plenary Agenda explores what a green deal could look like for the UK and how it can be implemented at all levels. Bringing together local, regional and national governments with investors, developers and private sector businesses to discuss industry pathways that will decarbonise sectors and provide skilled jobs in the process.
