International Copper Association

At its highest level, sustainable development is at the core of the work of the International Copper Association (ICA). Our mission is to bring together the global copper industry to develop and defend markets for copper and make a positive contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. As a sign of the industry’s commitment to meeting the SDGs, ICA and its members developed the Copper Mark (now a separate organization), the first and only comprehensive social and environmental assurance program for copper production. Copper producers participating in the Copper Mark are committed to adhering to internationally recognized responsible operating practices. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., ICA has offices in three primary regions: Asia, Europe and North America. ICA and its Copper Alliance® partners are active in more than 60 countries worldwide.
