Springfield Agri
Information
Springfield Agri is the headline partner for the COP26 Innovation Zone Agri-Food Day – the penultimate day of the COP26 conference. In addition to the events taking place on the main stage, we have four soil-health presentations from our partners who are working on ground-breaking (but healing!) technologies. Please join us at Innovation Zone stand A004
for any and all of the following presentations:
9:00-9:30 Emma Greenwood – BioMitech: BioMitech utilises sustainable technology for carbon requestration, and Emma will be speaking about how BioMitech is currently rated at sequestering 80 tonnes of CO2 in air pollution abatement. They offer a new high-impact Biofilter for industrial processes.
9:30-10 Carlos Monroy Sampieri – Capture of Pollutants and Green Hydrogen Generation via microalgae: imechatronics is the Global holding company and source of the cutting-edge R&D and innovative new products invented by Carlos and his team. BiomiTech algae air filtration technology was invented in Mexico and now is being optimised by Carlos and his teams in Colchester & Lyme Regis.
11:30-12:00 Mike Hands – INGA Foundation: Mike Hands developed the revolutionary method of Inga Alley Cropping through a decade of research alongside Cambridge University. He is helping the transition from slash and burn in Honduras and around the world.
13:30-14:00 Richard Higgins – Good Gardeners International: Richard’s charity provides tools and simple zero electricity infrastructure to make living soil compost from organic food, agri waste, and dry toilet systems which can turn waste into fertiliser in 90 days.
Springfield Agri is a not for profit organisation established by a group of dedicated individuals from the World of Business, Academia, Public Service, Science, Technology and Finance/Banking. Come and find us at stand A004 in the Innovation Zone.
Established after bringing together many years of scientific and practical research which sets out the issues and opportunities in the Farming and Eco systems.
